Not sure why I didn’t post this back in January…
So thankful for a chance to visit with some of my nearest and dearest. I cherish these visits back to Carolina.

A visit to beautiful North Carolina was just what I needed. Time with friends and family. Sweet tea. Sunshine. Bliss.
Thanks for your hospitality!

Beautiful day. Beautiful town.
Blue skies and trains. Americana.
Saturday morning exploring.
There’s not much better than the homemade goods and wares of a Farmers Market.
Thank goodness for weddings. As friends spread far and wide, it’s harder and harder to see one another. What was once so simple is now at the mercy of booking flights or planning long road trips. Last-minute outings for frozen yogurt, Halloween parties and Christmas parties, random excuses to enjoy sunny days or favorite bands together – things that were common when we all lived close by – are things of the past. Jobs and families and many miles separate us now. But thank goodness for weddings.
Last weekend, we flew to Florida for the night (Yes, one night. I know; we’re crazy.) to attend dear friends Sarah and Alex’s wedding. We all flew and drove in from various parts of the country – and abroad – to reunite for their wedding. And it was so worth it. There was strawberry wine. Romanian group dancing. Shoes kicked off. Conversations outside under the moonlight. Photo sessions galore. We were reunited, and it was perfect.
Thank goodness for weddings.
No, that isn’t a line from some neglectful boyfriend; that’s me apologizing for not updating this thing over the last week! But, lemme tell ya, it’s kind hard to update when you’re 900 miles from home and without a computer. I think, for that, you can find it in your heart to forgive me, no?
I spent some time in the Carolinas, checking off some of the bigger to-dos on my never-ending list and, more importantly, spending some time with amazing friends at a delightful shower and ridiculously fun bachelorette party.
Dear friends RB and KB hosted the shower, and I’d say it was a pretty smashing success!
The spread! So much yumminess.
My sister was there, camera around her neck, to document!
Look at the fantastic centerpiece, using the amazing tea cups RB and KB got me!
RB bejeweled some tulle with gems and hung it from the light above the table. So pretty.
